The ADM-HEA Subject Centre offices are located at 68 Grand Parade,
adjacent to the main University building which houses the Faculty of
Arts & Architecture approximately 500 metres north of the Royal
Pavilion in the centre of Brighton and ten minutes from the coach
station in Pool Valley view and download map.
by rail
The
station is approximately 15 minutes walk away. From the front of
Brighton station, walk down Queen's Road for about 750 metres and turn
left down North Road. At the bottom of the road, cross Grand Parade and
turn right. The university building is on the next corner on your left.
Although we are situated in an older building next door, access is via
the main building entrance. If you decide to take a taxi, it will cost
approximately £4.00.
by car
from the A23 or
A27: follow the signs to the city centre and seafront. Ignore signs
saying 'Universities' as these are directions for the main campuses of
Sussex and Brighton Universities at Falmer on the outskirts of
Brighton. As you enter the centre, a one-way system will lead you
towards the seafront via Grand Parade. The University's Grand Parade
building is on the left of Victoria Gardens, opposite a Tudor style
pub: 'The King & Queen'. If you reach the Royal Pavilion you have
gone too far but - proceed to the seafront roundabout to retrace your
route.
parking
parking in central Brighton is
severely restricted and we regret that we are unable to offer visitor
parking spaces (unless disabled access is required). Various NCP car
parks are located nearby in the city centre and are clearly sign posted
en route. The closest is located in Church Street which is a 5 minute
walk away. See map for their location. There are roadside electronic
display boards as you approach the centre indicating parking space
availability in the central car parks.
There is on-street parking
if you can find a free designated place. Payment is made by meter or by
displaying a voucher scratch card. These are obtained from some local
shops, usually newsagents. The nearest to us are the 'Blow Up' Copy
shop at 50 Grand Parade and Swift Sports at 39 Grand Parade.
Our offices should be approached via the main University entrance on Grand Parade. Ask the receptionist in the foyer to call us to come and meet you. Our internal extension is 3119. Full contact details
