GradLab
has been set up by the London Institute Careers Service. It mixes
networking events, skills workshops, confidence building and business
techniques with personal career guidance to encourage new ways of
working.
"The whole idea is the chemical reaction of putting lots of
different ingredients together and then coming up with something quite

POD – Professional & Organisational Development Network in HE
The POD Network developes and supports practitioners and leaders in higher education dedicated to enhancing learning and teaching.
POD
supports a network of nearly 1,600 members - faculty and teaching
assistant developers, faculty, administrators, consultants, and others
who perform roles that value teaching and learning in higher education.
While POD members come primarily from the U.S. and Canada, the
membership also represents twenty-three other countries. The POD

Problem Based Learning Directory
The
unique quality of this particular site is that it is more than a mere
list. It contains brief information about how PBL is managed by various
departments and different disciplines, in many countries, in order to
facilitate international collaboration in Problem-Based Learning. These
details have been provided by practitioners themselves via the online
questionnaire. The Database currently contains details of 103 courses
at 89 institutions across 28 countries.

Research Training Initiative (RTI) website
Research
Training Initiative (RTI) is a project based at UCE Birmingham
Institute of Art and Design (BIAD), which aims to develop and support
research education and training in art, design and media. RTI seeks to
encourage debate about research skills, methods and approaches; and
supports researchers, research students and research supervisors
through the publication of PhD case studies, methodological papers and
reviews. The project was set up in January 1995, and has been online
since 1998.

Most
UK institutions now offer PG Cert (HE) courses to support new academic
staff. The SNAS (Supporting New Academic Staff) project arose from a
desire expressed amongst Course Tutors and Subject Centres to share
information about subject specific resources to support new academic
staff.

The
Technical Advisory Service for Images is a service that has been set up
by JISC to provide advice and guidance to the Further and Higher
