14 - 19 Creative and Media Diploma

The 14-19 diploma has been heralded as the most important change to the country's education system since the introduction of GCSEs. The new diploma, initially developed across five distinct subject fields, is to be piloted in September 2008.

The diploma is a single overarching qualification at three levels attributing equal value to both vocational and academic studies. The diploma is delivered through collaboration and partnerships between schools, further and higher education, business, parents and government.

A recent presentation given by Gini Stirling at Skillset which provided an update on the development of the creative and media diploma may be viewed and downloaded here.
