how to become a workshop facilitator

we would be very pleased to hear from any staff involved in the delivery of higher education in art, design and media subjects who feel they have experience / expertise that could inform the planning, delivery and content of learning and teaching workshops aimed at benefiting the broader subject community.

we invite proposals from staff teaching and supporting higher education in further and higher education institutions to plan and facilitate short, focussed professional development workshops, longer half-day, or day-long events intended to inform and support learning and teaching in art, design and media subjects.

if you are interested in becoming a facilitator please download and complete a professional details form and a workshop details form. Guidance Notes contain further information about submitting your proposal. Download an example workshop proposal.

benefits

workshop facilitators will receive a £150 fee for short workshops (between 90 mins. and 3 hours) and £300 for a full day (between 4 and 6 hours) + travel expenses. Facilitators will have opportunity to share, discuss and develop their area of experience / expertise with a broader art, design and media subject community. the opportunity will enable individuals to raise their learning and teaching profile by promoting effective practice in one or more of these subject areas.  Engagement in this activity could also provide evidence to support applications for the Higher Education Academy Register of Practitioners and other career development.
